A Shaheed Memorial monument built in Faruk Park, south of Rahmonbariya, has been built. Some believe that after the national memorial of Savar, it is the second significant monument in Bangladesh. Brahmanbaria district administration in memory of the 1971 war of liberation and remembrance of freedom fightersCommander of Comilla's Infantry Brigade and Sub-region 12 Sub-regional Martial Law Administrator Brigadier A'm Saif PSP, laid the foundation stone of the memorial built at a cost of around four lakh rupees.On 19th May On April 29, 1985, President and Chief Marshal Law Administrator Hussain Muhammad Ershad NDC, PSC inaugurated it.
