The tomb of Hazrat Qazi Mahmud Shah is located in Kazi Para of Rahmnbaria district sadar. A story of Brahmanbaria district is related to Hadrat Qazi Mahmud Shah. At one time there were many Brahmin dwellings. He ordered the Brahmins to go out by coming here to spread the religion. From that there is a doctrine that the name of the area is Brahmanbaria.
