The Brahmins of Brahmanbaria were disturbed by the miracle of the monk and went to Bidakut village of Nabinagar thana to apologize for their opposition. On the eve of leaving, Brahmins requested Qazi Syed Mahmud Shah (Rah) to say that they had a long time in the color city. So he should keep his memory involved in the city's name. Oli Kamel Syed Mahmud Shah (Rah) retains their request and Brahmanbaria is named Brahmanbaria from 'Brahmin going out' and 'Brahmanbaria' is named after Brahmanbaria.
